Softball Recap: Wahoo Drops Season-High Score on Bennington

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wahoo). They put the hurt on the Bennington Badgers with a sharp 13-3 win on Tuesday. The Warriors not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 26, 2024 (when they won 15-0).

Karryn Eddie was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Smart, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Wahoo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.

Wahoo's record is now 10-5. As for Bennington, they dropped their record down to 5-4 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Wahoo will face off against Nebraska City at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pioneers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bennington, they will take on Waverly at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Badgers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
