Basketball Recap: Pioneer Has No Trouble Against Corpus Christi Moody

While Pioneer didn't have the best season last year (they finished 15-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Corpus Christi Moody Trojans 61-39 on Thursday. The Diamondbacks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 22 points or more this season.

Muhamed Shaath produced another solid performance shooting 58% from the field to rack up 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2024. William Goodloe was another key player, putting up nine points and seven boards.

Pioneer's record now sits at 6-3. As for Corpus Christi Moody, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, Pioneer and Corpus Christi Moody will both be playing College Park the next time they take the court. The Diamondbacks will head out to face the Cavaliers at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
