Football Recap: Gaithersburg Falls to Walter Johnson in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Gaithersburg unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 44-6 loss at the hands of the Walter Johnson Wildcats on Friday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

Among those leading the charge was Jake Forburger, who rushed for 84 yards, and also threw for ten yards and one TD.

Looking ahead, Gaithersburg is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Northwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Walter Johnson, they will host Quince Orchard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
