Santana won the last time they faced Monte Vista and things went their way on Friday too. The Santana Sultans claimed a resounding 46-12 victory over the Monte Vista Monarchs. The Sultans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.

Santana was led to victory by Sam Mora and Harper Diaz. Mora posted 16 points in addition to eight boards and five steals, while Diaz put up 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Mora has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Brynn Warren was another key player, putting up four points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Despite the loss, Monte Vista still got an impressive performance from Knikole Steward, who scored nine points.

Santana is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. As for Monte Vista, they dropped their record down to 3-21 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santana will host Mount Miguel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
