Softball Recap: Colfax-Mingo Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Colfax-Mingo's offense. They came up short against the Marshalltown Bobcats on Saturday, falling 9-0. The Tigerhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2023.

Colfax-Mingo has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Marshalltown, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 12-18 record.

Colfax-Mingo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-7 defeat against English Valleys on the 30th. As for Marshalltown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-4 victory against Grundy Center on the 28th.
