Baseball Recap: M.L. King Takes a Loss

M.L. King entered their match against Morrow on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The M.L. King Lions lost 10-2 to the Morrow Mustangs. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

M.L. King saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb Scott, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Brandon Ray also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, M.L. King fell to 4-1-1. As for Morrow, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5-1.

Coming up, M.L. King will face off against Cedar Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Morrow, they will head out to square off against Spalding at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Morrow will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
