Basketball Recap: El Primero Comes Up Short

On Monday, the El Primero Lobos were beaten by the Kehillah Rams 46-14. The Lobos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kehillah got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ariella Sheppard out in front who posted 17 points along with five boards and five steals. The game was Sheppard's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adi Lerner, who put up eight points in addition to 12 rebounds and five assists.

El Primero's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Kehillah, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

El Primero does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kehillah, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pescadero at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pescadero's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Kehillah's offense will have their work cut out for them.
