 The Manteca Buffaloes will take on the Wood Wildcats at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 With a playoff game on the line, Manteca rose to the challenge  on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Jaguars  56-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory Manteca has posted  since January 16th.
 Manteca's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Michailla Springs, who  scored 17 points along with five  rebounds.  Jada Ikharo was another key contributor,  dropping  a double-double on 15 points and ten  rebounds.
 Meanwhile, Wood had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.4 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They snuck past East Union with a  62-58 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
  Natalia Sanchez was  her usual excellent self,  almost  dropping  a double-double on 22 points and nine  rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two  steals for 12 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tianna Palmer, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on nine points and 13  rebounds.
 Manteca is  on a roll lately: they've  won 13 of their last 16 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record  this season. As for Wood, their victory bumped their record up to 19-11.
