Softball Recap: Pierce Comes Up Short

If Pierce was riding high fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Ponca on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bluejays came up short against the Twin River Titans on Saturday, falling 9-2. The Bluejays were not able to make up for their defeat to the Titans from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Pierce saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Beutler, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Pierce's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Twin River, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Pierce has already played their next contest, a 7-6 win against Arlington on the 23rd. As for Twin River, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-4 victory against O'Neill on the 23rd.
