It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Roswell can now relate to. They and the Artesia Bulldogs were almost perfectly matched up on Saturday, but they suffered a 25-24 defeat. The Coyotes' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Artesia had a senior duo take command as Derrick Warren threw for 269 yards and a pair of TDs and Jack Byers picked up 101 receiving yards and one touchdown. The Bulldogs also relied on Byers, who's 48-yard boot wound up being the difference in the game.

Roswell's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Artesia, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

As of now, neither Roswell nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
