Basketball Recap: Crawford Takes a Loss

Crawford lost against Patrick Henry back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Crawford Colts were dealt a 66-29 defeat at the hands of the Patrick Henry Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Colts have suffered against the Patriots since January 16, 2017.

When it comes to explaining why Crawford lost, don't look at Fatuma Abdi. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ana Maria Guerrier, who had four points.

Ally Mangahis was nothing short of spectacular for Patrick Henry: she went 7-for-12 to rack up 18 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. The dominant performance also gave Mangahis a new career-high in shooting accuracy (58%). Kimora Nears was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 13 rebounds.

Crawford now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Patrick Henry, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Crawford nor Patrick Henry have any future games scheduled.
