Baseball Recap: Mays Comes Up Short

Mays was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Midtown Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Wednesday.

Mays' loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Midtown, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Mays wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-5 defeat against M.L. King on the 13th. As for Midtown, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-4 victory against Forest Park on the 13th.
