Basketball Recap: Rubidoux Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hillcrest, Rubidoux was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 32-31 victory over the JW North Huskies. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 50-32 loss the last time these two teams met.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aliyah Washington, who posted six points in addition to ten rebounds and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazlene Molina, who had ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Rubidoux's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for JW North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Rubidoux didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-22 defeat against Banning on the 19th. As for JW North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-19 loss against Rancho Verde on the 19th.
