The Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Sheldon Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Cosumnes Oaks focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday.
In what's become a running theme this season, Cosumnes Oaks gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Elk Grove 77-31 on the road. With Cosumnes Oaks ahead 48-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Caitlin Subejano was her usual excellent self, going 8 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Isabel Tan was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven assists and five steals.
Meanwhile, Sheldon's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. Their tough 55-33 loss to Pleasant Grove might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Sheldon has suffered since December 20, 2023.
Cosumnes Oaks is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Sheldon, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
Cosumnes Oaks strolled past Sheldon in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 44-30. Will Cosumnes Oaks repeat their success, or does Sheldon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
