Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Carmel vs. Del Norte

Mt. Carmel is 0-8-2 against Del Norte since January of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Mt. Carmel Sundevils will host the Del Norte Nighthawks at 7:00 p.m. Mt. Carmel's last six contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, Mt. Carmel didn't have quite enough to beat San Marcos and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Sundevils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Knights are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Del Norte's offense. They fell 2-0 to Westview on Tuesday.

Del Norte has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6-3 record this season. As for Mt. Carmel, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7-1.
