Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Flowers + How To Watch

Flowers extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-0. They came out on top against the Wise Pumas by a score of 17-6. The game was the first time the Jaguars have beaten the Pumas on their field since November 26, 2022.

Kodi Gardner went supernova, rushing for 137 yards and two scores. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024.

As for Wise, they now have a losing record of 1-2. Having soared to a lofty 65 points in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

Wise's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eric Wedge Iii, who threw for 166 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 30 yards. The Pumas also got a significant boost from Kameron Parker, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 80 yards.

Flowers and Wise should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings. The Jaguars will challenge DuVal at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (13 vs. 141). Meanwhile, Wise (ranked 15th) will meet Bowie (ranked 120th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
