Baseball Game Preview: Augusta Christian Lions vs. Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles

The Augusta Christian Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Augusta Christian is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Augusta Christian came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Ben Lippen by a score of 8-6 on Friday. Lions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Falcons since on Friday.

Luke Spivey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-3. He has become a key player for Augusta Christian: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-9 otherwise. Jordan Sease also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Gray Collegiate Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Brookland-Cayce on Thursday and fell 5-4. The War Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
