Baseball Game Preview: Spalding Jaguars vs. Rockdale County Bulldogs

The Spalding Jaguars will venture away from home to face off against the Rockdale County Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Spalding is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Spalding fell victim to Whitewater and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 16-0 to the Wildcats.

Rockdale County had taken Monroe Area down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Purple Hurricanes, falling 11-2.

Spalding's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Rockdale County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season.

Spalding took their win against Rockdale County when the teams last played back in February of 2022 by a conclusive 20-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
