Football Recap: Crofton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Crofton was riding high fresh off their 30-3 takedown of Chesapeake last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Crofton had to suffer through a 56-16 loss at the hands of the South River Seahawks. The defeat continues a trend for Crofton in their meetings with South River: they've now lost five in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South River to victory, but perhaps none more so than Benjamin Raines, who threw for 384 yards and seven TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes. Thanks to that big game, Raines is now up to 20 passing touchdowns on the season. Another pass catcher making a difference was Jaden McDuffie, who picked up 201 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Crofton's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for South River, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Crofton will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Arundel at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for South River, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southern at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
