Soccer Game Preview: Pacific Grove vs. Gonzales

The Pacific Grove Breakers are taking a road trip to challenge the Gonzales Spartans at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Pacific Grove's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Pacific Grove is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Palma on Tuesday. Pacific Grove fell just short of Palma by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gonzales). Everything went their way against Palma on Thursday as Gonzales made off with a 5-0 victory. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Spartans with their most commanding win of the season.

Pacific Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Gonzales, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6-1.
