Soccer Recap: Hawthorne Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North, Hawthorne was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the St. Paul Swordsmen a 1-0 shutout. The Cougars wouldn't have won without Evelyn Rodriguez, who scored the game-winner.

Hawthorne now has a winning record of 2-1. As for St. Paul, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Muir the next time they take the pitch. Hawthorne will head out to face Muir at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while St. Paul will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
