Recap: Bloomsburg Panthers vs. Warrior Run Defenders
There's no place like home for the Bloomsburg Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Warrior Run by a score of 42-32 on Wednesday. The score was all tied up 17-17 at the break, but Bloomsburg was the better team in the second half.
It was another big night for Brynna Zentner, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bloomsburg's points. Bella Pistoia was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.
Bloomsburg now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Warrior Run, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bloomsburg will square off against Loyalsock Township at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Loyalsock Township will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. As for Warrior Run, they will head out on the road to take on Hughesville at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hughesville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Warrior Run in Pennsylvania (Hughesville is ranked 67th, while Warrior Run is ranked 228th).
