Basketball Game Preview: Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons vs. Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Mustangs

Having just played yesterday, the Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Wilcox-Hildreth is leaving town to face Sumner-Eddyville-Miller after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Falcons fell 30-26 to Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] on Thursday. The Falcons were up 16-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Wilcox-Hildreth's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kinley Hansen, who posted 11 points, and Cheyenne Lieb, who had 12 points.

Meanwhile, Sumner-Eddyville-Miller had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed past Loomis to the tune of 69-42 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won six in a row.

Wilcox-Hildreth took their victory against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 45-20 score. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
