Baseball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Westminster Christian Academy had lost four straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 11-12 to make it five. They came up short against the Brentwood War Eagles, falling 8-1. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly seven runs.

Westminster Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dailey Orr, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

As for Brentwood, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-11. The result was nothing new for the War Eagles, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

On Brentwood's side, Abe Williams was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Diaz, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Coming up, Westminster Christian Academy will take on Thomas Jefferson Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions are facing the Jaguars at the right time seeing as the Jaguars are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Brentwood, they will challenge Briarwood Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The War Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buccaneers have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
