Softball Recap: Lafayette Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lafayette ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Parkway Central Colts. The Lancers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Colts, too.

The victory made it two in a row for Lafayette and bumps their season record up to 4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Parkway Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Lafayette will welcome Northwest at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parkway Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Eureka at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
