Softball Recap: Walters Sets Scoring Season-High Against Anadarko

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Walters). They put the hurt on the Anadarko Warriors with a sharp 12-1 victory on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blue Devils considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Walters has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Anadarko, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-24.

Coincidentally, Walters and Anadarko will both be playing Altus the next time they take the field. The Warriors will host the Bulldogs at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Blue Devils will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
