Softball Game Preview: Miller Grove Wolverines vs. M.L. King Lions

Miller Grove is a perfect 6-0 against M.L. King since September of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wolverines will be playing at home against the Lions at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Miller Grove's favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home while M.L. King has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

On Monday, Miller Grove got the win against Mundy's Mill by a conclusive 17-4. Considering the Wolverines have won 15 contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Armonie Morrison was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and four runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in triples (two). Another player making a difference was Anazji Gordon, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Miller Grove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .767. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .639 or higher in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, M.L. King came up short against Arabia Mountain on Monday, falling 20-9.

M.L. King now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Miller Grove, their win bumped their record up to 17-1.

Miller Grove beat M.L. King 16-13 in their previous matchup back in August. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
