Soccer Game Preview: Ottawa-Glandorf vs. Liberty-Benton

The Ottawa-Glandorf Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Liberty-Benton Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ottawa-Glandorf has given up an average of 2.9 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ottawa-Glandorf came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 6-0 to Celina. While losing is never fun, Ottawa-Glandorf can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 398th, while Celina are ranked 115th).

Meanwhile, Liberty-Benton hasn't lost a match since August 21st, a trend which continued in their latest game on Saturday. They never let Lake get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. Liberty-Benton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by three goals or more this season.

Liberty-Benton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-1-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 65 goals over those ten matches. As for Ottawa-Glandorf, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11-2 record this season.

Ottawa-Glandorf might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Liberty-Benton when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
