Basketball Recap: Sotomayor Takes a Loss

Sotomayor played a tough match on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 55-15 loss at the hands of the Maywood CES Wolfpack. The Wolves have struggled against the Wolfpack recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Leading Maywood CES to victory were Carmen Lilly and Alyssa Maldonado. Lilly posted 21 points and five steals, while Maldonado earned 19 points and six boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lilly has scored at least a third of Maywood CES's points. Another player making a difference was Natia Alcaraz, who put up six points.

Sotomayor now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Maywood CES, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

As of now, neither Sotomayor nor Maywood CES have any future games scheduled.
