Soccer Recap: Irwin County Comes Up Short

Irwin County managed to keep up with Dooly County until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Irwin County Indians lost 7-2 to the Dooly County Bobcats. The Indians were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Irwin County and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Dooly County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Irwin County will venture away from home to challenge Atkinson County at 7:00 p.m. on February 28th. As for Dooly County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Wheeler County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
