Baseball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Madison's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gabriel Richard Irish on Wednesday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

Madison saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brian Dopp, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Gabriel Richard, they pushed their record up to 14-10 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Madison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gabriel Richard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fowlerville at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Gladiators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.04 runs per game on average), something the Irish will no doubt try to take advantage of.
