The Vasquez Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the CHAMPS Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vasquez is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 6 goals per game this season.

Vasquez will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Desert on Friday. The Mustangs never let the Scorpions get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. Vasquez have beaten Desert the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Desert has come to flipping the script.

Vasquez's offense was hitting Desert from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Hailey Honicky led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, CHAMPS was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Esperanza College Prep could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Vasquez's win bumped their record up to 3-0-1. CHAMPS' draw makes their record 0-1-1 this season.
