Baseball Recap: Hardaway Takes a Loss

Hardaway has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.29 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 12-4 to the Dougherty Trojans. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

Hardaway saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kemari Luttrell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Hardaway's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Dougherty, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hardaway will face off against Monroe at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Monroe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season. As for Dougherty, they will square off against Macon County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Dougherty also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 12.5 runs per game.
