Baseball Preview: Devine Warhorses / Arabians vs. Pleasanton Eagles
Devine is 2-8 against Pleasanton since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Warhorses / Arabians will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Devine is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over Carrizo Springs on Tuesday. The Warhorses / Arabians not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5th (when they won 10-1).
Karter Brown was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Ty Sadler also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Pleasanton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past San Antonio HomeSchool 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Devine's record is now 14-9. As for Pleasanton, their record now sits at 15-7-3.
Devine was able to grind out a solid victory over Pleasanton when the teams last played back in March, winning 7-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warhorses / Arabians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
