It was a good run, but George Walton Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 5-2 to the Lakeview Academy Lions. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

George Walton Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Spires, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

George Walton Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Lakeview Academy, they moved to 14-10 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

While George Walton Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
