Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bowdon). Everything went their way against the Washington-Wilkes Tigers on Wednesday as they made off with a 22-8 victory. Considering the Red Devils have won 12 contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Bowdon is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.1 runs on average over those games. As for Washington-Wilkes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bowdon will square off against Vincent at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Washington-Wilkes, they will face off against Greene County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
