Baseball Recap: Deerfield-Windsor Comes Up Short

Deerfield-Windsor suffered their closest defeat since April 29, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors by a score of 4-2.

Deerfield-Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 13-5-1. As for Southwest Georgia Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Looking ahead, Deerfield-Windsor will be playing at home against Valwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Valiants will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southwest Georgia Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Grace Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3.3, the Cougars 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
