Baseball Recap: Ridgeland Comes Up Short

Ridgeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Calhoun Yellow Jackets, falling 13-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 last Tuesday.

Bryson Duke made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Ridgeland's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Calhoun, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-12.

While Ridgeland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
