After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Perkiomen Valley, Spring-Ford was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Lower Merion Aces 57-29. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Kareena Preuss, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 15 boards. Brynn Stiles also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.
Spring-Ford was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lower Merion only posted seven assists.
Despite the loss, Lower Merion saw an underclassman step up: freshman Natalia Kasmer posted 19 points.
Spring-Ford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points over those games. As for Lower Merion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-11.
Looking ahead, Spring-Ford is taking a road trip to take on Central Bucks East at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lower Merion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
