Football Game Preview: Brookfield Bobcats vs. New Milford Green Wave + How To Watch

The Brookfield Bobcats are taking a road trip to square off against the New Milford Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Milford took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Brookfield, who comes in off a win.

Brookfield's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 27-0 victory over Notre Dame Prep. The Bobcats' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Brookfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyler Buttendorf, who rushed for 98 yards and one score. Matt Ackerly also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Another reason for the win was Brookfield's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 6.5 sacks. Thad Balzi was especially locked on to Notre Dame Prep's QB and sacked him twice.

Meanwhile, New Milford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Joel Barlow and fell 49-18.

Brookfield will have to contain Tj Ruedemann as he made an impact in New Milford's last game. He picked up 124 receiving yards and one TD.

Brookfield has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36 points. As for New Milford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
