Marin Catholic is 8-1-1 against San Marin since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Marin Catholic Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the San Marin Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Marin Catholic's last seven games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Marin Catholic's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They won by a goal and slipped past Archie Williams 1-0. The Wildcats' winning goal came courtesy of Alina Franchetti.

Meanwhile, San Marin came up short against Tamalpais on Saturday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 474th, while the Red Tailed Hawks are ranked 150th).

Something new happened on Saturday as Savannah Steiner saw her first action of the season, playing 70 minutes against Tamalpais. Steiner made the most of the opportunity, putting up one assist A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

Marin Catholic's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2-2. As for San Marin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything went Marin Catholic's way against San Marin in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Marin Catholic made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marin Catholic since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
