Soccer Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central was the 2-0 winner over Douglas County when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Central Lions fell just short of the Douglas County Tigers by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Orlando Ruiz-Perez and Jose Ortega scored all three of Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Douglas County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will head out to square off against Cedartown at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cedartown will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Douglas County, they will venture away from home to take on South Paulding at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Douglas County is facing South Paulding at the right time seeing as South Paulding is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
