It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Cobb Christian had no problem doing just that on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Athens Academy Spartans an 11-0 shutout. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matchups by six runs or more this season.

North Cobb Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Athens Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-17.
