Basketball Recap: North Star Comes Up Short

North Star lost against Berlin Brothersvalley back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The North Star Cougars were beaten by the Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers 66-17. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

North Star dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the North Star Cougars take on the Shade Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, they will host Meyersdale at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Berlin Brothersvalley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Meyersdale likes a good challenge.
