Kalida proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by four) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past the Elida Bulldogs 1-0. Give Kalida's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Logan Kerner, who's now up to three this season.

Kalida's victory bumped their record up to 4-0-1. As for Elida, they now have a losing record of 0-1-2.

Looking ahead, Kalida will host Fort Jennings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give Kalida their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Elida, they will head out on the road to square off against Lima Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
