Basketball Game Preview: Freedom Area Bulldogs vs. Hickory Hornets

The Freedom Area Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Hickory Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Freedom Area ended up a good deal behind Ellwood City and lost 46-28.

Meanwhile, Hickory was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-39 heartbreaker at the hands of Meadville. Hornets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Bulldogs since Thursday.

Hickory's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Freedom Area, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
