Soccer Recap: Santa Ana Valley Takes a Loss

If Santa Ana Valley was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Santiago last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Santa Ana Valley Falcons fell just short of the Western Pioneers by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.

Santa Ana Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6-3. As for Western, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3-3 and their overall record up to 4-8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Ana Valley will face off against Saddleback at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Western, they will square off against Santiago at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Western's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
