O'Farrell Charter hadn't done well against Mar Vista recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Falcons walked away with a 3-1 win over the Mariners. The victory was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won six matches in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 23-25, 25-20, 25-22.

Naomi Carrillo paced O'Farrell Charter's offense, picking up 12 kills. Carrillo got some help from Aimy Thach and her 37 assists. Thach was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

O'Farrell Charter's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Mar Vista, they dropped their record down to 7-21 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. O'Farrell Charter will host Monarch at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mar Vista, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Chula Vista at 4:30 p.m.
