Blair is 8-2 against Bennington since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Badgers. Blair is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Blair is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nebraska's top teams: Gretna, who was ranked fourth at the time (Blair was ranked eighth). The Bears took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons on Tuesday. The Bears have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Laynie Brown was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Bennington and Beatrice had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Badgers fell just short of the Orangemen by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. Badgers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Orangemen since Tuesday.

Bennington now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Blair, their loss dropped their record down to 22-8.
