Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Carmel Christian vs. Belle Vernon Leopards

Mt. Carmel Christian hasn't had much luck against Belle Vernon recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Mt. Carmel Christian will take on Belle Vernon at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Mt. Carmel Christian beat Southmoreland 33-28.

Meanwhile, Belle Vernon came tearing into Thursday's game with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Mustangs as they made off with a 60-37 victory. The Leopards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 22 points or more this season.

Belle Vernon's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Mt. Carmel Christian, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Mt. Carmel Christian was dealt a bruising 52-16 defeat at the hands of Belle Vernon in their previous meeting on January 8th. Can Mt. Carmel Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
